Heart Rate Variability and Nocturnal Blood Oxygen Saturation in Patients With Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
The goal of this observational study is to compare the overnight heart rate variability (HRV) and nocturnal oxygen saturation (SpO2) in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The main questions it aims to answer are: (1). if there are correlations between pulmonary function test and HRV and overnight SpO2; (2). if HRV and SpO2 can predict the occurrence of acute exacerbation in patients with IPF. Participants will be asked to examine pulmonary function test (including lung volumes and six-minute walk test) and wear pulse oxygenation recorder and "LARGAN" ECG Holter" ("LARGAN HEALTH TECHNOLOGY" Sleep Apnea And Sleep Quality ...

High Intensity Interval Training in Fibrotic Interstitial Lung Disease
The fibrotic interstitial lung diseases (fILD) is a group of debilitating chronic lung conditions that are characterised by scarring of lung tissue, dyspnoea on exertion and significant physical impairment. Exercise training is recommended for people with fILD in improving breathlessness and exercise tolerance. However, despite the best efforts of patients and clinicians, many of those who participate are not attaining its benefits. The current exercise training strategies of moderate intensity continuous training may not be well suited to fILD. High intensity interval training (HIIT), short bouts of high-intensity exercise regularly...

High Oxygen Delivery to Preserve Exercise Capacity in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Patients Treated With Nintedanib
The purpose is to determine if patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) taking nintedanib will have improved exercise endurance, breathlessness and quality of life if breathing 60% oxygen compared to standard of care during an 8 week exercise training program.

Home-based Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Health Coaching in Fibrotic Interstitial Lung Disease
The purpose of this study is to gather information on the effectiveness of a home-based pulmonary rehabilitation program with health coaching and tele-monitoring for improving patient-reported respiratory-related quality of life and physical activity in patients with fibrotic Interstitial Lung Diseases (f-ILD).

Human Autologous Lung Stem Cell Transplant for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
Purpose: To demonstrate the safety and efficacy of autologous Lung Spheroid Stem Cells (LSCs) administered by intravenous infusion in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Participants: Patients with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) Procedures (methods): 24 patients previously diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis meeting all inclusion/exclusion criteria will be evaluated at baseline. LSCs will be grown from autologous trans-bronchial pulmonary biopsy specimens. The first group, consisting of 6 patients will be randomized after completion of the screening procedures to either a ...

Hydroxychloroquine in ANCA Vasculitis Evaluation
The purpose of this study is to find out whether hydroxychloroquine, in addition to background treatments, reduces disease activity in patients with Anti-Neutrophilic Cytoplasmic Autoantibodies (ANCA) Vasculitis, a group of autoimmune diseases. Hydroxychloroquine and is an established, effective, safe and inexpensive therapy, widely used in other autoimmune diseases such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. The study is open to adults diagnosed with certain types of vasculitis, called Granulomatosis Polyangiitis (GPA), Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA) or Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA). Participants will be...

Hydroxychloroquin (HCQ) in chILD of Genetic Defect
The purpose of this proposed research is to investigate the efficacy and safety of hydroxychloroquine sulfate (HCQ, Quensyl) for pediatric ILD(chILD) caused by pulmonary surfactant-associated genes mutations.

Hyperpolarized 129Xe MRI for Imaging Pulmonary Function
The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the usefulness of MRI using 129Xe gas for regional assessment of pulmonary function. Specifically, three forms of 129Xe MRI contrast will be the investigators focus - 1) imaging of the 129Xe ventilation distribution, 2) imaging the alveolar microstructure via the 129Xe apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), and 3) imaging 129Xe that dissolves in the pulmonary blood and tissues upon inhalation. Such imaging of 129Xe gas transfer is expected to be uniquely sensitive to pathologies affecting gas exchange (fibrosis, emphysema, pulmonary hypertension) and provide new insights regarding ...

HypErsensitiVity PneumonITis: DiseAse Progression Characterization
EVITA is a multicentric Latin-American prospective cohort on chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis. EVITA's objective is to identify phenotypes and/or endotypes associated with different disease trajectories measured primarily by forced vital capacity (FVC) during a 24 month follow-up period. Other secondary measures of disease progression will also be investigated such as imaging, time to death or lung transplantation, and patient-reported outcomes

Identification of Novel Markers of Human Lung Disease
The purpose of this study is to investigate new therapies for advanced lung disease.
