Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Community Registry
Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) results from a diverse group of health conditions and affects the lives of patients (including those who are post lung transplant), caregivers and family members. The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Community Registry will offer an online portal where participants can self-enroll and directly contribute information about their experience with PF to be compiled into a longitudinal data set for use by researchers.

Pulmonary Hypertension SOLAR
The main goal of this study is to develop a noninvasive signature for pulmonary vascular remodeling in Group 3 PH patients, using hyperpolarized 129Xe magnetic resonance imaging (129Xe MRI). Such a signature may identify Group 3 PH responders to PAH-specific therapies. PAH's unique 129Xe MRI signature has been shown in previous studies. Past studies have lacked a pathologic "ground truth" correlate of these signatures, which could be provided by comparing them with the pathology of lung explant tissue from patients who have undergone a lung transplant. This signature could be validated in a cohort of patients with Group 3 PH in ...

"Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program in Patients With Interstitial Lung Disease Associated With Systemic Sclerosis"
Interstitial Lung Disease associated with Systemic Sclerosis currently represents the main cause of death in this disease, it is also the cause of significant morbidity, which is why pulmonary rehabilitation strategies can be of great benefit in this group of patients. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of a 36-session supervised pulmonary rehabilitation program compared before and after, on oxygen consumption, functionality, and quality of life in Interstitial Lung The main question it aims to answer are: What effect will have with a 36-session supervised pulmonary rehabilitation program, compared before and...

Radiotherapy Exposed Lung Injury: Effect on Functioning - Cohort
Prospective cohort research to study the state of oxygen metabolism, reserve capabilities of cardiovascular and respiratory systems in patients with breast cancer to create a program of prevention and rehabilitation of lung damage in the process of complex treatment of the disease. The aim of the study is to study the dynamics of oxygen metabolism and reserve capabilities of cardiovascular and respiratory systems in the process of complex treatment of breast neoplasias. Objectives of the study: 1. Explore the dynamics of pulmonary ventilation and gas exchange disorders in patients with breast cancer in the...

Reducing Silica Exposure Among Brick Kiln Workers in Nepal
Inhaling respirable silica increases the risk for silicosis, an incurable and debilitating lung disease. In South Asia, one high-risk industry is brick manufacturing, where more than 4 million manual laborers mold bricks by hand. In Nepal, brick manufacturing employs over 200,000 workers across 1,200 registered brick kilns. These workers are exposed to respirable silica concentrations 1.4 to 6.6 times higher than the limits set by the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. Preventing silicosis is paramount, as the average brick kiln worker cannot afford medical care and only 6.8% receive regular health checks....

Registry of Autoimmune Interstitial Lung Disease
Interstitial lung diseases (ILD) constitute a group of entities characterized by inflammation and/or fibrosis of the lung parenchyma. In recent years, with the advent of new diagnostic tools and therapeutic options, multidisciplinary evaluation is essential, since it optimizes the interpretation of each case and the quality of care for these pathologies Consensus for the identification and management of ILD associated with SSc (ILD-SSc) is the only guideline published at present. In the others autoimmune ILD (Ai-ILD), screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up strategies are usually performed according to the criteria of the...
